Para Site is excited to announce a music workshop with Tarek Atoui, one of the participating artists in our upcoming exhibition Soils and Stones, Souls and Songs.
In the workshop, you will learn how to interact with musical instruments (combining string, wind, and percussion) that are included in the exhibition at Para Site. You will also get the opportunity of performing in the exhibition at a later date!
This free 90-minute workshop will take place at Para Site on Tuesday, 21 MAR, 2017, 10AM-11:30AM. The workshop is open to a maximum of 10 PARTICIPANTS only, so if you are interested, please email apoorva@para-site.org.hk to RESERVE YOUR SPOT NOW!

About the artist
Tarek Atoui is an artist and electroacoustic composer, working within the realm of sound performance and composition. His work often revolves around large-scale, collaborative performances that develop from extensive research into music history and instrumentation, while exploring new methods of production. Recent productions and performances have taken place at TATE Modern (2016); 8th Berlin Biennial (2014), Foundation Louis Vuitton (2014); Bonniers Konsthall (2013), 9th Biennale do Mercosul (2013); 9th and 11th Sharjah Biennial (2009-2013).
He currently lives and works in Paris.
About the exhibition
Soils and Stones, Souls and Songs is Para Site’s current large-scale group exhibition, based on several intertwined lines of tension and narratives found today in the realities, artistic and cultural production, and contemporary thought in the Asian sphere and beyond.
