About Sung Hwan Kim
Sung Hwan Kim (b. 1975, South Korea) is an artist based in New York. He served as a fellow at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam. His practice comprises of performance, installation, text, film/video and music (often in collaboration with dogr). Recent solo exhibitions include the commission for the opening of The Tanks at Tate Modern, London (2012); Line Wall, Kunsthalle Basel, Basel (2011); From the Commanding Heights…, Queens Museum of Art, New York (2011); Golden times, Haus der Kunst, Munich (2010); and Witte de With, Rotterdam (2009).
About dogr (David Michael DiGregorio)
dogr (David Michael DiGregorio) is a musician based in New York. Recent work includes musical composition for the solo exhibition of Sung Hwan Kim at The Tanks at Tate Modern, London (2012). Recent performances include some left (2011, in collaboration with Kim) and Kim’s in the room series, New Museum, New York (2009); a concert in the Get Weird series, New Museum (2010); Vox Populi, Philadelphia (2009); Gallery TPW/Images Festival, Toronto (2009); Établissement d’en face projects, Brussel (2009); Insa Art Space, Seoul (2007); pushing against the air, De Appel, Amsterdam (2007); a concert with Byungjun Kwon, BAK, Utrecht (2006).
